Labor Day Weekend Attire

Wow, I can’t believe it’s already Labor Day! 2012 has flown by and it is already almost over. Labor Day means it’s officially time to crack the whip and get back to being serious. Summer is over and it’s back to school and back to cooler weather. Because of all this, Labor Day is also used as a last hoorah weekend. This can mean many things, but to me, it is the last time to wear fun, summer clothing.

Neons and bright colors were everything this past season. But after labor day, it just doesn’t seem right to wear colorful ensembles. Take advantage and seize the moment in a bright maxi.

And we all know the silly rule that doesn’t allow us to wear the color white after Labor Day. Although I don’t personally follow this rule, it can be fun to play into it a little and deck yourself out in white for the Labor Day weekend festivities.

Another one of my favorite Labor Day pairings is nude and navy. Nude and navy look absolutely exquisite together and the combination gives off a certain air of chic and preparedness for fall.

Finally, you can never go wrong with some stripes. Stripes are one of my favorite patterns and I really missed them during spring and summer. Bring them back this Labor Day with confidence.

Do you like these looks? What will you be wearing this Labor Day weekend?

    • And I haven’t seen them at all for fashion week! Of course Betsey will always have neons, but everyone else just showed pastels and stripes :(
